Writing has always been a major part of my life, but so has teaching. I've always managed to do both, and this year I completed my education with a BA degree in Spanish, Bilingual Education and English as a Second Language.
No, I'm not Hispanic, I'm American Indian (Lenape and Cree to be precise), Italian and German. In fact, my first historical romance novel, Stealing Joy, is based on my great grandmothers life. If you haven't done so already, please read the first chapter, found on the books page.
Lets see.. what else can I share about me? Well, outside of creating websites and doing some graphic design, I love to go fishing, snowboarding (see what living in NorthEastern Pennsylvania for three years gets me - I learned to snowboard) and I love being outdoors. After three years of living away from most of my family, I caved in and moved back to NJ.
After years of rejection letters, I finally got into print which made my day, and year. You can see a preview of Tormented Angel on my books page, and I've just added links to preview my two other books!!
A quick aside, on Wednesday, June 16,2004, I received some great news from Dry Ice Publishing:
Congratulations on being added as one of six stories to appear in the first volume of "How Did I Get Here?" We're glad to have you as a contributor!
Sincerely,
Steve Martini
For "How Did I Get Here?" I submitted one of my paranormal romance short stories, Guardian of the Night. Now I'm hooked on writing more paranormals, expect to see more from me. If you're so inclined, read a little bit about the Elementals. I've chosen to compile and edit another anthology for Lulu Press, this time for the holiday season. It's called Holiday Treasures and will be published November 15th, 2004 (the same date ending my contest). As with Sometimes We Dream, all proceeds will be donated to charity. We're open for submissions.
The Anthology of Poetry for Lulu Press has been published! It's called Sometimes We Dream, and it looks amazing (if I'm allowed to say that). A special thank you goes out to all talented poets and writers who contributed their talents. If you are so inclined, buy it here. All the proceeds go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, we don't make a penny, only pride.
Anything else I can think of, I will add here soon! Thanks for visiting and don't forget to sign my guestbook.
